An English teacher falls in love with Vietnam at the first sight

At the very first time visiting to Vietnam, Dustin Quinlen was enthralled by this small but  attractive country. He went to Vietnam for the first time seven years ago. Just three months after returning home, he decided to live in Vietnam.

A trip that changed his life

Although Dustin has many Vietnamese friends who live in USA, he did not have any intention to go to Vietnam seven years ago. In 2008, he went to Vietnam because of his friend’s wedding invitation. That trip has changed his life because of the wonderful impression of Vietnam in both of its landscapes and people. Therefore, three months after returning home, he decided to come back and work in Vietnam.

“Students are my daily motivation.”

In Vietnam, Dustin chose to become an English teacher in TOPICA Native. He shares his thoughts about his students, “My students are amazing. Even when I have a hard time, all my problems has been blown away immediately after I see my students. Students are my daily motivation.”

For Dustin, the most amazing thing in teaching English is his students

Dustin always feels excited every time he teaches because of the great interaction between teachers and students through the Internet. I like creating happy atmosphere in classes and listening to all my students laughing together. I remember that I had a talk with my students about dating and the guys asked me privately about how to talk with a girl. Their humour always impresses me.”

After one year and a half years working at TOPICA Native, now Dustin feels very satisfied with his work in Vietnam. “Teaching with TOPICA Native is extremely convenient. That is the reason makes Dustin want to stay and work in Vietnam during this Christmas.This dedicated teacher has also planned to travel to Danang, Halong, and Son Doong cave to witness the beauty of our wonderful country – Vietnam.
